The WashingtonDC-area news stations are saying this Saturday's (2/22) expected rains, on top of accumulated snow, could cause flooding on Saturday around the Potomac River (Alexandria) and other low areas. Potential for service delays again...

I think the floods did have an affect according to what one passenger told me. They had reserved deluxe sleeper for $320 and no sleeper car showed. They were told that because of the floods the sleepers weren't available so they had to ride coach. This woman didn't like to see her 80 year old husband sleeping in coach. She said some passengers called immediately for a (partial, she said?)refund but this woman held out for a deluxe sleeper for a different portion of their trip, apparently got it, and seemed fairly satisfied.
