One of the Louisiana and Delta's best customers is the rice mill in Abbeville, LA. The railroad runs a train from New Iberia, L&D's home base and the location of the BNSF main line, to Abbeville on the rails of the old Southern Pacific RR. This ROW was originally the route of the Iberia and Vermillion Railroad, the first to reach Abbeville from the east.
