Since when is California's Coast Line considered a high-speed corridor?

Interesting map, done in 2001. Maybe should be in the archives? I notice that in the description of each corridor is language about grade crossing improvement/elimination with a link to an inventory report on progress. The link doesn't go anywhere. Doesn't look like there's much momentum behind this report. I wonder how much we paid for this study?

I did not realize, Mr. Black, that it is an old map. Maybe that is why they have a California Coast route...which, like Mr. Toy, I don't understand why it was even proposed.
It also doesn't show the proposed "RangerXpress" route to run from Casper, WY to Albuquerque, NM.
I am also wondering, with the high population inland, if the San Joaquins will increase their trains to link up with the High Speed rail stop in Bakersfield.
