Does anyone know the mileage between Philadelphia & Atlantic City on NJ Transit and from Atlantic City to New York's Penn Station on the ACES train? I bought my tickets through Amtrak, but the printed schedules I got for these trains do not list mileage. Thanks.

It's 65 miles from 30th Street to Atlantic City, so I would guess Frankford Junction (the point where the AC line diverges from the NEC) to Atlantic City is about 60 miles.

I have another question: Does anyone know the mileage for the Wyoming detour from Denver to SLC? I used to have that information (someone here gave it to me) but seem to have lost it. Thanks so much!

From Union Pacific Fall 1959 Public Timetable with "interpolation" of Cheyenne-Borie and Roy Jct-Ogden:

Denver-Borie 108 mi
Borie-Roy Jct 472 mi
Roy Jct-Salt Lase City 35 mi

Total 615 miles

Thanks, Mr Norman!

You don't by any chance know the mileage on the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver BC to Banff (via Kamloops), do you? I think it's around 500 miles--Easily, my trip via Chicago to Seattle, then up to Vancouver BC, then on the Rocky Mountaineer to Banff, not including bus up to Jasper, then VIA Rail back to Vancouver, then down to SEattle, then to Salem OR and continuing down to Sacramento, then home on the Zephyr and LSL, was the longest trip I made by train . . .

sojourner: From my November, 1956 Official Guide-

BANFF 2321.6
KAMLOOPS 2630.8
VANCOUVER 2881.3

This via Canadian Pacific; doing the math yields a distance of 559.7 miles. Hope this helps. Mileage is from Montreal, of course.
