From Holiday Inn Express Boca Raton--

(the one some Trip Advisor jokers once thought was so terrible; it's very nice)

Mr. Pullman; all one need is read some of Tom Freidman's coulmns in The Times anf one will quickly learn that the State of Israel is eons ahead of us in cybernetics. Freidman has often noted that even if Israel has no oil to speak of, they have plenty of brainpower to export.

If I had the strength to endure overseas travel, i.e. the flights, I'd really like to see the place - and I am Episcopalian.

Finally, it should be noted that the Danish equipment of which IR apparently has quite a fleet, was used experimentaly by Amtrak about twenty years ago.

Tonight Detroit Symphony in West Palm; tomorrow 52(26) SFA-LOR My Voyage 21; Red Lex's maiden.

Enjoy Tchaikovsky's 5th, Gil. I hear the DSO's trip south was made possible by the GM Foundation, one of the best things remaining about a once-proud city, Detroit.

Well Mike, if you can make it over to SFA after all tomorrow, you know where I'll be.

Enjoy, PullmanCo! It's been mentioned before but for those contemplating rail travel abroad, The Man in Seat Sixty-One is a great resource which I've use while traveling around Asia. There are Seat61 books out now but while the website is free I'd refer to that for more up-to-date information.
