Like so many of these proposals, 'I'll believe it when I see it'.

However, what caught my attention was this material available at that site:

The overnight equipment pictured was same, except for the bi-level cars, as I once rode on JNR Tokyo-Hiroshima during May 1968.

No doubt, being Japanese, it will happen in some form even if not exactly as planned. But rather clearly this is not for the likes of us mere mortals. Logically only two cars maximum can be the "more spacious class" which leaves four for the 1/3 "regular" class - in other words just 14 "cabins" per train.

Think one big step up from the Orient Express (as was) or Blue Train rather than the Lake Shore Ltd.
