If you happen to be in NYC, check out the new modern station just off the south side of W34th Street near 11th Avenue; the stop is called Hudson Yards. It's an extension of the Flushing train (#7), which used to end at Times Square (W42 & 7th Av). The new station is pretty cool for NY subway, with scary escalators (esp going down), cool glass elevators more like funiculars (funiculi)? Some nice enough mural work. Nice landscaping outside too, though maybe not apparent in winter.

Are these pictures representative of it?

Yes, that's about it. The murals seem even more vivid than I remember but I thought all in all it was a big deal.

There was supposed to be an in-between stop at 10th Avenue but there wasn't money for it (yet) so this is the only new one so far.

BTW, this is very near the new start/end of the Highline, just a big further down W34 (past all the Megabus lines). This new part is still un-landscaped but interesting as it juts out close to the river and then back by Hudson Yards itself . . . really, train lovers would love it all. The older part of the highline (below W30) is very fine, if too popular.
