Does anyone know anything about a train wreck that took place on 3-7-1896 between San Diego and Los Angeles--of, if not, does anyone know how this can be researched? It was a train carrying mail, not sure if passenger or not. It's for research of family tree of someone I know.

Wikipedia has a list of wrecks between 1880 and 1899, but TrainWeb won't let me post the link. Try: List of rail accidents (1880–99). I did not find your wreck among the listed ones, though.

Html protocol seems to be "allergic" to parentheses.

"Kill 'em"; otherwise look familiar?

You might research your question through the California Railroad Museum..
