Hello,
I wonder if anybody knows when, the electronic, flip-flap message boards, where we can see train times posted, first came into service.

Thanks

I recall them in New York during the 50's. They are commonly known as Solari Boards after the Italian concern that designed them.

I remember watching a TV show (I think on the History Channel?) that showed the massive flip-flop train status board from Grand Central in NY---it was up for sale!
