The Queen, despite some "goings on" within her immediate family, was never touched by a "speck". She will be remembered as a "leader of sorts" that people around the world looked to as a figure of grace and dignity.

May she rest in peace.

While not of concern for the past seventy years, there are lyrical differences between the "King" and "Queen" versions of the British National Anthem:

King

Queen

Well, I guess the world may as well forget the "Queen" version, as the next girl in the line of succession is third in line Charlotte, 8 (William, 40, and George,10, come first). However, lest we not forget, these "Royals" do pretty good for themselves in the longevity department.

Finally and incidentially, this line of succession was unaffected when now fifth in line Harry (Prince Louis, 4, is fourth) chose to withdraw from (dismissed?) Royal activities.

I am surprised that the Royal Train was not part of The Queen's final journey from Balmoral to London. The journey was by motorcade Balmoral to Edinburgh and thence by air transport to London.

If the Royal Train is still serviceable, and even if passenger train operations have been "privatized" throughout the UK, the ROW's are still government owned. Such a movement would have allowed many more of her Subjects to view her final journey.
