Flouted by Fetterman, changed on his behalf by Schumer, and the backlash is led by (of all people) Durbin. Hopefully this will be short-lived.

Did Journal columnist, Peggy Noonan ever tee off today on this, or lack thereof, "dress code"

Fair Use:
quote:
It shows you understand that America now has a problem with showing respect.

It shows you admit to yourself that you’re at an age and stage when part of your job is to model for the young how to behave, how to be.

It shows a mature acceptance of your role, suggesting you’ve internalized the idea of service.

It reflects an inner discipline. It’s not always easy or convenient to dress like a grown-up.

Wonder if Schumer is paying attention now.

Pennsylvania had a choice between a guy that chooses to look like a thug or a Doctor and chose the thug. No sympathy here if that is what you want to represent your state.

Hasn’t been proven conclusively that the people chose him. This is the state that just unilaterally pushed automatic voter registration on the populace, after all.

Too true. They did do a good job of getting the Philadelphia cemeteries vote out.

Sad to say the man in question is living up to the appellation “thug”, calling actually elected Senators “jagoffs” in a Twitter post where he high-handedly declares he will “save democracy by wearing a suit on the Senate floor next week” in exchange for not shutting the federal government down and reinforcing support for Ukraine.
