Again, be patient while the websites load. It's good to see that the alder critters are seeing a little bit of light, and making efforts to provide some options for getting around a city that has its' transport network constrained by the fact that the city is built on land between four lakes.

Interesting...hopefully the progress continues. Meanwhile, I remember seeing an article in an old Trains magazine about the diamond on the lake causeway.

That's correct. Madison is the only place that I know of in North America where there's a rail crossing out in the middle of a lake. One of the proposed routes for any rail transit would have to cross those rails. If Amtrak were to begin service to Madison, That route is one of the ways to get to MKE. It's part of the railway that goes right through the downtown area, and then to MKE in a roundabout fashion. Think of Phil Hastings' and Bill Middleton's old pictures of the CNW & the MILW, you'll notice several pics with a great view of the train, Capitol bldg., and a reflection of the skyline. Picturesque.
