Was thinking about joining the CSX Conductor School. I know the work hours are irregular.
I think the average conductor's pay after 5 years is around $40000. Is the normal road work day 12 hours? Is the road pay the same whether you work 12 hours or 8(i.e. your rate per hour is low based on twelve hours). If you get furloughed, is your health insurance paid? Any help with these questions is appreciated. Thanks.
