Amtrak train collides with sand truck
By The Associated Press
(3/12/04 - HOUSTON) — An Amtrak train has been involved in a Houston area collision.


The accident happened near South Main at Gessner just before noon Friday. The train collided with a sand truck. There's no immediate word on what caused the accident. Missouri City police are investigating.

No injuries have been reported. Traffic in the area is being impacted.

P42DC 207 and 116 were involved, ultimately 207 could no longer continue, and 116 operated solo.

This one hit closer to home. My fav down for the count.
The truck driver stopped his truck while it was still fouling the right of way.
The engineer was hospitalized.
SEEN IT. Will it ever end? Of course not!
Maybe she'll get a K5MD when she's in the shop.
