I am a railfan from New York City, and was on a railfan trip on Metro-North today finishing it off (I have now ridden every inch of it, if you don't count the West of Hudson Lines, which are operated by NJ Transit). My main destination was Wassaic, in order to get their one must take Electric MU cars to Southeast (where electrification ends), and transfer to the 3 Shoreliners and a diesel shuttle. I was in for a shock when I saw the trian enter Southeast:

If memory serves me correctly (someone much wiser will come in and confirm or deny this) isn't M-N leasing or purchashing some of them? I think I remember a thread about a couple being delivered to the Croton yards.
