Hi:

Is there now a Sight-Seer Lounge on the Sunset again ? I am considering a trip on it from New Orleans to LA in January or February.

I really may not make the trip if the consist does not include one. I though I heard somewhere that the Sight-seer was to be placed back in the consist. I HOPE so.

Well, I think I had heard of the same - a return of the sightseer to the consist - However, the two recent photos of the Sunset that I could find on railpictures.net, taken 5-7 weeks ago, DID NOT have a sightseer in the consist.

So I guess Caveat Emptor - Let the Buyer Beware!

I see the Sunset every Tuesday and Friday, because of it's lateness. The Sunset is using a Sightseer coach. Friday the Sunset had 2 private coaches at the rear.

You're definatly going to have a lounge. Every consist has one, and they are the ones you would find on the Empire Builder. Was worth the 5 month wait! Now for timekeeping that's up to UP to decide, you might end up like today and be EARLY into LA. Or you will most likely be 1 to 2 hours late. That's typical lateness for #1.
