Does anyone know if there's internet access while on the Lake Shore Ltd or Empire Builder?

Just curious as I thought someone mentioned, somewhere along the line that they were able to access wireless service while on the trains. I find that hard to believe, but thought it couldn't hurt to ask!

The one thing that greatly surprised me while taking the EB both ways was the great cell phone service. I thought for sure while riding in what seemed like some pretty remote areas, that there wouldn't be access, but happily, I was wrong.

Thanks.

Get Verizon or Sprint's Internet access. You can get online anywhere there's a cell phone signal!

There's great cell phone reception out in the middle of nowhere on the Southwest Chief as well. I think the railroads are another innovator in this area, because they have been using wireless communications for several decades now. This makes it easy for the wireless companies to set up service in the area.

Thanks Paul! I have Verizon landline service, so I'll look into it. Technology is wonderful, isn't it?
