The open house is the kickoff of our PassengerRailOK.org campaign to see the Heartland Flyer expansion to Kansas City through Wichita, Kansas,” said Evan Stair, executive director of PassengerRailOK.org.

Think it will happen anytime soon?

This is very interesting. Guthrie OK is one place I'd like to visit, but I was never very excited about going by bus. A train stop there, and a connection to the SW Chief, would be excellent--I believe it's on the route?

That would be GRRRRRRREAT!!! (as Tony the Tiger used to say....) -- a revitalization of the old Texas Chief route of the early AMTRAK days -- why not extend the train from KC on up to Chicago also?

Kansas can't even pay the deferred maintenance on the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, Wichita State University, and Emporia State University.
