A couple weeks ago the NARP Hotline said that business class service was starting on the Adirondack but that it could be occupied only south of Rouses Point as customs would use that car at the border for interviews. A look at the Amtrak web site confirmed this and showed space available in business class anywhere between Rouses Point and New York. With no mention of it for passengers traveling to/from Montreal, this had the potential to be a great secret. Then suddenly business class disappeared from the website. One Amtrak agent stated something about April 1 but nothing appears in the online system. Does anyone know what the plan is?

Business class lasted a little over a week and a half in the reservation system with the typical Biz/cafe/lounge combination car actually running for even less than that period. Nobody used it and it was discontinued. Better luck next time.

I could care less about that, I'd rather see them try Amfleet II coaches instead (only one or two, the only cars that will remain open north of Rensselaer) so you can see the scenery a little better. Of course, if 10031 shows back up this fall (pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!) it'll all be fine.
