For the first time ever, we will be taking advantage of the Acela Lounge at New York Penn Station on our trip this year -- I have never used it before. Where is it? After we detrain from the N-bound Silver Meteor, how do we find the Acela Lounge? I know Penn Station is kind of "confusing" to get around.......

Thanks a lot for the info!

It is on the Amtrak level (top level), along the wall where the ticket windows are, but on the end by the gate for tracks 5-6.

That's the southwest corner of the station.

i.e., As you face the ticket windows, it's just to the left. You ring a bell and they let you in.

It is easy to find on that top level. We Brits found it easily enough in August last year.

The thing that is a little confusing in Penn Station is getting from the platform to the main level where the Amtrak tickets are sold (which is still 1 level below the street, btw). Each platform has an escalator and an elevator as well as stairs. Depending on your location and which track you are on, sometimes the elevator or escalator takes you only to a middle level that is still one level below the main level where the Amtrak tickets are told. You then need to find the other (bigger) elevator or escalator to take you to that main level. There are signs that say Amtrak, or you can just ask; there's always a lot of train employees and police around, and many passengers will know where to go too.

Of course, if you use a Red Cap, he will take you right where you need to go (but you will need to tip, usually $1 a bag is OK, I think?). You can arrange for a Red Cap to meet your Silver Meteor by talking with your car attendant.
