Hey Mighty -- we will be visiting my wifes's son and his family in S. Cal in a couple weeks and are interested in going from L.A. Union Station to Disneyland -- is there a shuttle service which meets trains (AMTRAK or Metrolink) at the Anaheim station and goes to Disneyland? (Note we will be there 4th of July weekend) -- if so, what is the cost?

Thanks a lot -- Railroad Rich

I don't know about a shuttle, but a quick Google search shows that the #50 bus (fare $1.25/person) will take you from Katella and Howell (3 minute walk from Anaheim Amtrak Sta.) to Katella and S. Harbor (southeast corner of Disney property—figure a 10-12 minute walk to the front gate). Alternately, taxi fare would be around $10 for as many of you as could cram in the taxicab.

There is a dedicated bus from the Anaheim Amtrak station to Disneyland. It's not a transit bus---it's made for people on vacation heading to the park. I don't have the info handy, but I'll try to grab it later.

Anton---I know you've got this info somewhere! [Smile]

I found it:
_______
Anaheim Resort Transit
Getting to Disneyland on Southern California's expanding rail network is easier than ever with the start of regular shuttle service between the Anaheim Amtrak station, the Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Resort hotels.

The shuttles, which will cost $3 for adults and be free for children 10 and under until Jan. 8, 2008 ($1 after that), will meet all northbound and southbound Pacific Surfliner trains. The trains run ten times daily between Los Angeles and San Diego, with some trains continuing to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo via Oxnard and Ventura.

The ART schedule will be posted at www.rideart.org according to the organizers.
_______

I got this from this web page:

Not much to add, as all the other nice folks here got you the info you need. The ART bus works well, and is often faster than a taxicab unless there's an empty cab just sitting there waiting for a fare.

I will say however, that since the 4th is on a Friday this year that Disneyland is going to be very busy that weekend. Plan to use Fastpass and try to get there as early as possible!
