Hubby and I are cruising next month and will have a several hour wait for our SW Chief return home on a Saturday. We had talked about going to Universal Studios for the day and I got great info here. Now hubby is thinking maybe a museum visit?
Are there any easy to get to from the Union Station?
Any other suggestions about things to do would be appreciated. We know about the area, and may just stay around the station, but I think hubby would be bored.
Thanks!!!

This might help. It's a fairly new option for sightseeing in Los Angeles but we've used similar services all around the world and it's usually a great way to orient yourself.

There is also plenty to do within walking distance of LAUPT or by using the DASH bus to get to downtown.

Have a great time!

In downtown Los Angeles, there is the incredible MOCA (Museum Of Contemporary Art). It is located behind the Omni Hotel, and just down the street from the Disney Concert Hall. It is a very short cab ride (5 minutes), or about a 20 minute walk (mostly going uphill). Here is their website:

That just gives the location and hours. You can find out more by going to the home page at www.moca.org

Or you could go to the lower level of Union Station, and hop on the red line subway to Hollywood and Universal Studios
