Thanks, enjoyed it. The Buckley family writings are always entertaining. I did not realize he has also done the funny 'Thank you for smoking' book and, later, movie. His uncle, Reid, lives in our town.

Great story - but now I have another must-visit site in my daily routine. My messy house thanks you!

(I always head for the Quiet Car on the Hiawatha & have even been the Shush-Nazi on occasion.)

I am probably the only person on this forum who doesn't NEED a quiet car, but I would be happy to play Shush Nazi on behalf of anyone who asks.

I think Christopher Buckley is the funniest person in American journalism. A kind of cross between H.L. Mencken and Dave Barry.
