Ms. Sojourner, you did title this topic properly; the article is Associated Press material and they hold the rights to such - including the scope to which mamber newspapers may circulate - particularly with regards to the web). I customarily cite AP material as "Associated Press courtesy of (whatever paper)".

As the model of a print newspaper becomes more unsustainable, as I fear will be the case (did Eleanor Clift ever have some priceless comments regarding such on McLaughlin Group this past weekend), wire services such as the AP, once given up for dead, could become the cornerstone of in-depth journalism. Even the most influential newsource on this planet, The New York Times, could become a wire service.
