Dumb question for you. According to the Amtrak Rewards website they show for a basic member "2 points for every dollar spent on Amtrak travel - a 100-point minimum on two roundtrips or four one-way trips, per member per day, no matter the price."
Now on Friday 1/1/09 I went FUL-LAX round trip total of $18. Does this mean I earn 100 points flat for the journey or like the trip LAX - San Juan Capistrano last year do I earn 100 points each direction.
On Saturday 1/2/09 I went LAX-San Diego round trip for a total of 80.20 so again, do I earn 100 each segment as I did last year or a total of 100 flat for the round trip even though round trip I should earn 160 miles if I calculate correctly.

You get 100 each leg with a maximum of 400 points per day for the trips that cost under $50. .

Thanks Vicki, it was very confusing the way they had it shown on their website.
