The first build of AmCal cars were made by Morrison Knudsen. They were rebuilt by Siemens.

The second build of AmCal cars were made by Alstom.

Bombardier was never involved in the AmCal cars...only the Superliner II's.

The San Joaquin trains and the Capitol Corridor trains share the equipment. They both use the MK-Siemens cars, as well as the Alstom cars. It is totally random, and there is no way to predict what you will get on any specific train.
