Second that thought Mr. Guenzler; but hopefully recognition will occur with regards to what 21st century passenger railroading is all about - and what it is not.

But regardless of whatever passenger trains are to evolve through the remainder of this century, it would be pointless to scrap the only existing institution that has the expertise to operate intercity passenger trains, be they Corridor or LD.

It doesn't seem like Amtrak has been around long, at all. Except for retiring most of the heritage cars, not the diners, or baggage, and I think the high levels. I wish Amtrak a great year
