Amtrak's web site says that tomorrow The Adirondack is sold out from NYP to Montreal. The system also says the train is sold-out from NYP to Saratoga Springs. Then the system says the train has space from Saratoga Springs to Montreal. Does this mean everyone is going to Saratoga Springs? I decided to try other routes. Evidently every train connection between Montreal and Los Angeles tomorrow is sold out. But when you inquire about Montreal to Schenectady, space is available. Space is available on The Lake Shore Limited from Schenectady to Syracuse. It is sold out to Chicago. All trains westbound out of Chicago are shown as sold out. Seems like short trips are more easily reserved!

Sure, everyone's going to Saratoga Springs! Don't you know the race meeting is on and, after a Tuesday "dark day", the Wednesday train is full of people going back for the second week.

I wonder if there's any space left on the Ethan Allen to Saratoga Springs later in the day.
