So! Adrian was playing hardball! An attempt had been made on my life! But who told Adrian I where I was lodging for the night? And was I safe now? I callled the front desk and had a man sent to dispose of the snake remains. From now on, I would discuss my travel plans with no one.
The next morning I had plenty of time to sleep in and enjoy a lesiurely breakfast. Train 470 from Hartford to Springfield departed at 10:57 AM. As I waited at the station I wondered what surprise awaited me next. Then I heard a train horn.
At first I couldn't believe my eyes. The train that came into view was not the usual P42 and a couple of Amcoaches. It was the old New Haven Roger Williams RDC trainset!
