[/qb][/QUOTE]Great nostalgic list, Gil--it's interesting that the Super was used for a "dinner train" on both ends of the approx. 2200 mile route. And after that Joliet stop, it was "Katy bar the doors" as the marquee pasenger trains headed west on the Chillicothe Sub! I think in those pre ATK days, the Santa Fe ran many of those miles at 90 or 90+. Some of my best childhood memories are flying through the Illinois cornfields with my parents, having dinner on the 'Cap. Good memories!
