And it's JUST an idea at this time. I am considering making my railroad maps available on CD-ROM through my web site (my detailed topo maps of all the AMTRAK routes). Currently the only way you can get them through my web site is thru Snapfish, which, although free, is admittedly clumsy and can be a hassle. If I do this, the CD's would be available thru my web site for say $10 per CD or something, and you could order as many routes as would fit on a CD (I'm guessing quite a few routes would fit on one CD).

Now be honest, everyone!!!!!! Would there be any demand for such a thing out there? Does anybody actually look at the Snapfish maps I link to on my web site?

As I said, this is just an idea..........

Thanks-- Rich Kimmel

I think there would be, and I'll post this on a railfan site, and give you some feedback.

Rich, could you post the link to your Snapfish site here?

Henry -- each Snapfish "album" has its own unique URL, which is a long complex one. You need to look at my route guide pages. On the first page of each individual route guide, there is a link to the appropriate Snapfish "album." To my knowledge, there is no single link which will take you to all my "albums."

As I said, the CD idea would make it much easier to get the maps. If I do this, however, I will first need to set up a Pay Pal system on the web site.

I have only gotten a small amount of feedback so far. Sorry

I'm probably going to go ahead and get some info on how to set up a Pay Pal system on my web site, and I'll also talk to my web site host and find out how I can make my web site available to more people. You folks at Train Web are great, but I know there are many other train riders (note I didn't say "railfans!") out there who don't even know about my web site, but might find my route guides useful.
