Featured briefly (last five minutes) on the Travel Channel's "Off Limits" show. Amazing views of a "ghost station." Catch the program in reruns, I guess; add a star or two if you're from the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area or have an interest in it.

Mr. Chieftain, Amtrak leaving Buffalo Central Terminal in favor of the smaller facility at Depew was far more motivated by eliminating the overhead associated with Central Terminal. That the Carter Cuts occurred during that same "window' had no bearing upon Amtrak's wise decision to find new "digs" more reflective of the volume of business they expected to do in Buffalo.

Let us not debate at this topic (elsewhere, your prerogative) the propriety of the Carter Cuts; I know already you disagree with any thoughts I hold regarding such.
