After reading the posts about Martina McBride's Amtrak Tour, I was reminded of a tour this past Spring by some musical groups.

Not to hi-jack that thread I started this one...

I can't remember if the "Railroad Revival Tour" was posted here, but it may be of interest to some of the members.

I must admit I hadn't heard of the three groups making this tour, but some of my friends had and some of them are fans of one group or more.

The tour included six concert stops from Los Angeles to New Orleans while traveling in vintage railcars, pulled by a couple of Amtrak locomotives.

I noticed on their website they plan another tour in 2012.

I wonder how many other special trains make tours like these that the general public don't hear about?
