Thinking of planning a trip to Patriots Point and wondered if anyone else has been? I will be traveling from Baltimore to Charleston and was wondering about distances to hotels, the Point, other attractions?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Mike

As I recall, Patriots Point is quite a ways from downtown Charleston - over a high bridge if I remember correctly. I took my parents there back in the early 90's. I was especially interested in the Yorktowne, as I had visited that ship in Long Beach, California in the mid-60's before it was retired. My dad was a WW2 vet & really enjoyed seeing the planes on the deck. We actually stayed north of Charleston & went into the city for a carriage ride & other sightseeing. It was too cold that February day to go to Fort Sumpter.
