Train hijacking and collision in Chicago, this morning:

http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2013_09_30/Chicago-rail-disaster-likely-caused-by-someone-hijacking-the-train-media-3707/

I assume that the "Blue Line" trains are some sort of commuter trains (?).

Blue Line is the Chicago Transit Authority's rail rapid transit that runs from the Near Western Suburbs (Forest Park), through the Loop, then on to O Hare.

The Tribune is reporting at 1:20 p.m. CDT that CTA officials and Forest Park police say no criminal activity is suspected.

I recently heard a news update. Yes, they now say the train was not hijacked.

I should, by now, know better than to believe initial news bulletins until further, corroborating information is released.

Besides, what motivation would there be for hijacking a train? I think it would be more productive to just grab a bandana mask & six shooters and rob the thing.

This is an incredibly obscure reference which one or two of our regulars may recall -

I wonder if the 'hijacker' remembered to wear his masonic ring?
