All--

Australian friends will be here in September and want to take the Surfliner LAX-SBA and then continue the next day SBA-SLO. Is one of the trains still operated with the low-level equipment?

They hope to return in a year or so and ride the Starlight LAX-SEA and I thought another option would be to put them on it for the SBA-SLO leg so they could get a taste of it.

Rich--

Sorry the meet up didn't work out but now it appears I'd have to be up beyond my bedtime to meet you!

Frank headed back to SBA

Yes, you would have!!!!! Oh well, maybe next time.

I noted today that #774 was an Amfleet train, not Californoa Cars, and the passengers going S of LAX had to change trains in LAX for some reason, and the train they changed to was also not California cars. I thought all California corridor trains were California Cars.

Thanks, Rich.

The Aussies are taking the Starlight LAX-SBA and the 10:00 something Surfliner the next day to SLO. We will join them the following Monday on Celebrity Century for a 23 night cruise SFO-SYD.

Frank in sunny and cool SBA
