That'll be interesting. I went a couple of months ago and even though we didn't encounter any significant oil traffic, we still ended up a couple of hours late on the extended schedule - so about 5 hours late had we been running to the original schedule.
Amtrak recently supplied me these slightly more in-depth schedules which may be of interest to some. They show scheduled arrival times at every station, not just key stations, and show passing times at certain key locations.

That's interesting, Geoff. I didn't know the location Wishram and Bingen-White Salmon, WA. I did find White Salmon on the map.
The only positive thing I can say about the interim schedule is that it got 8/28 into Spokane at a reasonable time.
