Only nine days in but I hope a delay of 8 hours and 6 minutes will be unbroken this year! #2(8) was apparently stuck behind a freight that was involved in a fatality. 7h21 late at Tuscon, 8h6 at Benson - but with the wonders of padding, could theoretically reach New Orleans just 1h13 late.

6h42 on 8(16) today. Slowly got to 2 hours late by mid-Montana, then suddenly lost nearly another 4 hours between Shelby, MT and Havre, MT, and currently 6h42 late at Detroit Lakes, MI. Reason unknown, though 7(16) suffered a failed diner apparently so maybe weather is a factor.

Train vs road vehicle: #5(7) running 9h32 late - yes, nine and a half hours.
