Meant to post this a few days ago - trip is already in progress. Wonder how it's going over.

Thanks for the post, Mike. Looks fantastic! I hope it becomes an annual event.

I would like to see Pullman Rail Journeys consider other excursions. Possibly a trip to Sacramento for a visit to the Calif. State Railroad Museum.

TRAINS Newswire reports CSX is also operating an Executrain to the races. I trust that Ellis will have his train parked somewhere in Louisville and not an X-River location such as Jeffersonville (somehow, I think a wager on Trojan Nation has a better chance of paying than that the track accessing Union Station is still in service).

Yes, I wonder where in or around Louisville the train is "stabled."

I will bet a dinner that UP, KCS, NS, BNSF all had their business trains at Louisville. There are some time the Chairman, the President, and the VP-Ops (and/or their spouses) just want to schmooze.

Besides, more work gets done over a quiet conversation with a mint julep than ever gets done in an office or formal lobbying visit.
