First impressions, very light load one Dinner seating 6P.
Line 5240 Bedroom C (32504 Asa Phillip Randolph) think will be forward riding.
So far indifferent service. The Chef said "If you didn't like the Short Ribs lAuosast year they won't be any better this year". They have a Lamb Shank so maybe better.
Attendant DaShira, maybe age 25, has one Month of Seniority, She caught this off the Extra Board.

The luck of the draw strikes again, GBN. The extra board SCA is never a good thing. But, I suspect your needs are minimal if you BYOW. Good luck with dinner, and with light load service should be ok. Is there a first class, lounge?

Attended First Class Lounge yes; handy for over flow Dining. I don't know what else; the movies are gone (who will miss 'em).
I'm now back in.Bedroom C finishing off the 2014 Chrysalis Viognier I brought along. Now North of Fleming GA.
The Lamb Shank was darned good, very tender and fairly flavorful.

Shower, still "batting a thousand".
Attendant DaShira really was very nice. Turned out she had a trainer who was probably Non-Agreement. But if not, she will quickly "get the lesson" on how my Andy Jackson gets divvied up. Even got a hug at Lorton (hugging me or Andy J?).
Finally, fare for a Bedroom was $640 - about as dirt cheap as the AT can be.

Nice meeting up with you for lunch last week, Gil. Hope you're back in Chicagoland by now.
What do you know about a little town with a convention center called Rosemont, IL?

Fifty years ago, I would have "gone for it", not no more!!!
Rosemont is an incorporated village on the perimeter of O'Hare, and has become a convention center, hotel magnet, and a casino (there is a small creek there and there is one piling supporting the structure - meets Illinois "on the water"). Nevermind what a political snake pit the place is, they even had the gall to name the convention center for a living, sitting, mayor. I went to several CE seminars there, haven't been near it since.

GBN, if driving is getting to be a bother, why not fly down and take the Silver Meteor/Capitol home? Save lots of miles and gas on your vehicle, hotel expenses and the northbound schedule allows a ride on the Meteor rather than enduring the Star. By next year it should have a new diner and sleepers. It would also allow a full day in Washington to listen to our dysfunctional government.
