From private residence, Indianapolis--

It happens; trains, freight and passenger, will separate. Just one more reason for kids not to "be cute" and stand within the diaphragm.

A rough start perhaps, but a REALLY tough finish. Here they are talking 6" of that fluffy stuff starting this afternoon. In the Southeast, they're talking rain, which apparently for the first time I can recall they don't need (come to think of it, the Tennessee did look pretty full anywhere I saw it driving to and returning from Atlanta last month).

Airlines are waiving exchange fees around here; good luck on that one. Expect chaos on Amtrak as well.

Just as well for my Thanx jaunt; left for Indianapolis Thursday morning, and was back in the barn Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving to all - from high atop the Pocono Mountains. Thursday night it was 5 degrees here. Makes me appreciate SC!

Appears to be a good season for Amtrak as far as ridership. Saw 97/98 on Ashland cam running with 5 coaches and 4 sleepers plus diner, amlounge, and baggage.
