The Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers held their first Virtual (via Zoom) meeting on July 17, 2020. Our membership was able to ask Al Johnson, Acting Director for MDOT's Rail Division questions on the development of the Wolverine line and the new equipment order. Derrick James, Amtrak Governmental Affairs, provided insight into new policies governing intercity rail.

Please do not solicit membership in another group, even a non-profit. I am fine with you inviting everyone to view your program --- but let people look into membership on their own if they enjoy the show and what you are doing. We don't want to turn this forum into constant solicitation for memberships to every non-profit group in the country. I am President of a non-profit myself, and while I may invite people to watch our shows too from time-to-time, I am not going to solicit people to give us money. Thanks for understanding.
