I would appreciate if you could provide the following information :

1. HOW many DIESEL ELECTRIC Locomotive manufacturers exist in the World today ? We just know about EMD ( General Motors ) & GE Transportation . Who else ?

2. WHAT are their MARKET SHARE ? World wide & in USA domestic market

China makes their own.

Hitachi in Japan, maybe another also. They can be found in a lot of places in Asia. But then so can EMD and GE. Almost all diesels on the railway in Taiwan are EMD.

Is the ALCO affiliate in Australia still building diesels?

In Australia the Alco affiliate is long gone. GEs are built under licence by Goninans and EMD are built under license by EDI Rail.

In the UK Brush still exists although it would seem that all loco BUILDING is done at London (Ontario that is LOL)
