Is there a notebook priced around $1,000 that will run MS Train Simulator well?

Is there an MS TS add-on for any lines in NYC?

You know, that brings up an interesting point. Wouldn't it be great to run an NEC train on a laptop in the cafe car of an NEC train? Just compare yourself to what's really going on and see how good the scenery is?
Sorry, I don't have a laptop and the way I lose things, I don't plan on it anytime soon.
