Just drove through Staunton, VA on Sunday. Part of the former B&O branch later taken over by CHW runs along US 11 for a short distance. Just north of the CSX/C&O junction there is a girder bridge with "Chesapeake Western" spelled out in somewhat faded paint.

MPALMER,
do you live around that area? I was wondering if could take photo of it and post it here. I am planning to compile data on "Chesapeake Western" and related photos to put it on my website. I don't have website yet, but as soon as I gather enough data I will sure launch it.

LocoFan,

I'll see if I can post the photo.

Meanwhile, check out the "profile"; I live in Southern Calif. also
