Hi,

I just got an old Suydam interlocking tower. I model southern California Santa Fe of the mid 50's and need to know what colors to paint the tower.

The model is supposed to be a wooden interlocking tower. From what I can remember, I think the roof is red (possibly Polly S zinc chromate would work)
The rest was probably a yellow color. But I have no idea what paint to use. And the wood trim and steps would also look good in roof brown.

But I haven't been able to find any color photos of one yet so I need the experts help. Any info will help.

Have a couple of pix of Redondo tower in LA. Everything (walls, trim, etc.) are tan w/ roof a dirty green. Probably some kind of composite material (not tile) in a "diamond" pattern.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking to change the roofing material from sand paper to the dimond shaped Santa Fe shingles AMB (American Model Builders) makes to match a photo of a tower I've found.

Anyone use these? They are peel and stick which sounds easy enough. Can they be painted?
