Article 2 Section.3, US Constitution:
  • He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information on the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.

After the charade last evening, that's all either side deserves. A written message is all that is needed to comply with this Article.

Speaker Pelosi (D-CA12) tearing up her copy of the address on national TV was "over the top". I couldn't believe my transplanted corneas when I saw that. Fortunately, in the interest of decorum, the protesting Father, who lost his daughter at Stoneman Douglass, could not really be heard.

Somehow, the female Secret Service agent escorting the President did not look too happy about her chore - I think that was harbinger as to how I would feel when it was over.

I didn't think Pelosi went far enough. She should have led the Democrats to chant You Lie!every time Trump lied. And he lied a lot. Especially when he said he would not take away protection for preexisting conditions, when his people are working through the courts to do exactly that! He said he inherited a mess and turned the economy around, while we are in the 11th year of a recovery started by Obama with NO HELP AT ALL FROM THE REPUBLICANS! And he said this was the biggest economy ever, when it was bigger under Jimmy Carter in the malaise years.

Much as I hate to say this, Mr. Nicholson, if I resided within the CA12, I'd vote for Yogi Bear before I ever would Nancy. Her time is gone; entertain the Grandchildren as you all look over the Bay from your Lombard Street rowhouse (dont forget to set the parking brake and turn the wheels curbward).

This is The State of the Union; having it turn into a Trump rally just brings our country's institutions down to the level of "guess what" (I just said it).

Hasn't happened yet, and not saying I'll like it, but guess who will soon "crack 50% approval" for the first time? Guess who will reside @1600 for all of next January?

Finally, should either of two particular Democratic Frontrunners prevail, guess who I'll vote for?

You are probably referring to the two progressives. So you'd prefer someone who takes orders from an actual Communist

What I think that when Trump is re-elected, the Democrats can "lay it at the feet" of Nancy.

The Fathers chose to have the House elected by the people from a base of their "bar room buddies" that could be rid of after only two years. But the Fathers further called for them to sober up long enough to elect themselves a Warden, which the Fathers named the Speaker.

In her role as such. Nancy simply failed to keep the "Inmates" in line. Had she done so, a bunch of inmates would dare not publicly scream "impeach the Mother F-----". While I believe she was wise enough to know impeachment was a no win and would only strengthen Trump, she still caved in to those radicals, and stooped to their level with her little "paper shredding" charade.

You'd prefer a crude, incompetent demagogue who cuddles up to dictators and abandons allies and who is in Putin's back pocket over any Democrat because they might improve the lives of working people?

Mr. Nicholson, I had not read Peggy when I last posted, but I have now:

Peggy Noonan

Nancy's conduct was deplorable, and just might be enough to get Trump reelected. You can be sure, when he throws bread to the Proletariat at the Circus, they will be reminded.

Finally, and I'm happy to share it here with this mature and respectful group, I'd gladly vote for Joe, Amy, Pete, or Mike.

Peggy Noonan!? The Fox news contributed who said there were no terrorist attacks during the GWBush administration? Yeah, and we've always been at war with East Asia.
The selective indignation on the right is astounding. Why aren't they sharing videos of Trump goofing while the National Anthem was being sung at t h e Super Bowl and talking about that? That is especially galling given he led the outrage against Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during playing of the song. And here the POTUS so blatantly disrespects the flag on national TV? What a bunch of hypocrites!
