The meet features model railroad clinics, model and photo contests, a bar-b-que lunch, and a self-guided tour of local model railroad layouts. Saturday evening’s events include a dinner at Pat & Oscar’s and the Cajon Division’s famous Chinese auction with up to one hundred items to chose from.

The meet location is the Mary Phillips Senior Center, 41845 Sixth Street in Old Town Temecula. Map Link:

The meet will start at 7:30 am with registration, followed by many modeling clinics (listed below). There will be a contest room so bring your best models and photos to enter and show off.

Model Contest entries will be accepted at 7:30 am. Get your entries in early…judging starts at 10:00 am sharp.

There will be a BBQ lunch at the Mary Phillips Senior Center just out back so you can eat right after the clinics and get a head start on the layout tours. A $5.00 donation is requested.

Saturday night there will be a dinner at Pat & Oscar’s by the Pond and the Cajon Division’s Famous Chinese Auction with up to 100 items to choose from.

The registration fee of $20.00 includes dinner, clinics, contests and the auction.

Here are the clinics:

Bob Mitchell will be introducing his new 20’ x 35’ John Allen style layout design.

This year there will be a very special triple session clinic by Joe Villaryo on Installing DCC decoders. You are guaranteed to walk away from this clinic with all of your questions and fears addressed.

Todd Scott will be giving a scenery clinic to touch up that layout of yours…or just for fun to see how an expert does it. This clinic will cover two sessions, the first being basic scenery and the second on adding those extra things that bring a layout to life.

Carl Heimberger will introduce you to module wiring techniques and basic DCC
wiring for your home layout as well.

Gary Robinson from San Diego will be giving his terrific clinic on his home made static Grass applicator to make your layout grass stand on end…the hair on your head too if you don’t follow his instructions.

Also from San Diego, Justin Rasas will talk on powering your locomotives with battery power…even if you are in HOn3. You will have an opportunity to see and experience this operation on his Timesaver layout in On30.
