As part of the Banning Centennial Train Festival a series of model railroad clinics will be presented. All clinics will be held in the Banning Community Center, 789 N. San Gorgonio Avenue, Banning, CA.
The $5.00 Festival admission includes the clinics as well as the modular railroad displays, swap meet (Saturday only), model contest room and train exhibitors/ vendors. The admission is good for both days. Parking is free.
Here is the clinic schedule:
Saturday, October 19 10:00 to 12:00 Carl Heimberger: Casting & Painting Resin Rocks - Carl will demonstrate how to cast rocks using rubber molds, casting resin and expandable foam. He then will demonstrate how to paint realistic looking rocks. This light-weight scenery is especially useful on modules.
1:00 to 2:00 Ken Kirkwood: Making Trees - Ken will show you how to make scale trees using both simple and advance techniques.
2:30 to 3:30 Lloyd Lehrer: Basic Model Railroad Tools – Here is a clinic on the tools you need to remove the frustration from building cars and structures.
4:00 to 5:00 Lloyd Lehrer: Basic Model Railroad Electricity & Wiring – Lloyd will show you tips, tricks and techniques for wiring and operating your layout.
Sunday, October 20 10:00 to 12:00 Carl Heimberger: Casting & Painting Resin Rocks – See above.
