Has anyone heard about President Bush cuting overtime pay in all jobs which work over 40 hours?? This is what I just received from the AFL/CIO. If you are a hard working man making an hourly wage you might be interested in this. You can log onto http://www.saveovertimepay.org/ and get the details.

Not exactly true....it would affect about 10% of workers currently eligible for overtime compensation paid for hours worked over 40 in a week. It is aimed mostly at firemen, policemen, nurses and most semi-professional workers making between $25K to $65K annually. I'm not in favor of this, just felt you should know it's not as extensive as some would have you believe.

And it's not a mandate. Various companies and government entities can offer comp time over a longer period of time, instead of the week in which the OT was worked. http://edworkforce.house.gov/issues/108th/workforce/familytime/dc051403.htm

Free clue: Don't believe much of anything the AFL/CIO states, politically speaking.

Congress passed this back in November. It's already law. Yes... it's old news......
